Arrest announced in McColl’s violent incident

MCCOLL—The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) announced the arrest of Eric Graham in connection with a violent incident occurring in McColl earlier this week that involved the shooting, kidnapping and robbery of two people.

Investigators said Graham was taken into custody with assistance from law enforcement agencies in North Carolina after authorities identified him as the suspect in the case.

According to investigators, Graham allegedly shot a male victim and held him at gunpoint against his will at a residence on McCormick Avenue in McColl. A female victim also was reportedly held against her will during the incident.

Authorities allege Graham robbed the victims of cash before fleeing the scene.

Investigators also said the female victim later drove the injured man to a hospital in Scotland County for treatment in relation to his gunshot wounds.

Graham faces charges including attempted murder, two counts of kidnapping, armed robbery, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He is currently being held at the Scotland County Detention Center while awaiting extradition to Marlboro County. According to a recent update provided by the MCSO, Graham was denied bond in this case.
