MARLBORO COUNTY — On Tuesday, the Marlboro County School District proudly celebrated National Bus Driver Appreciation Day by recognizing the incredible men and women who safely transport district students every day across the Marlboro County School District.
In a released statement the school district said, “Our bus drivers are often the first smiling face our students see in the morning and the last caring adult they see in the afternoon. Rain or shine, they show up with dedication, patience, and a true commitment to keeping our children safe.”
The district also thanked their hardworking student transporters for the early mornings and long afternoons they put in, their commitment to student safety, for the kindness and encouragement shown by them to students daily, being a vital part of the school district family, and for being the smile in every students morning — setting the tone for the rest of their day.
“Because of you, our students arrive ready to learn and return home safely. We appreciate you today and every day,” said the district.
