BENNETTSVILLE — Acknowledging a true city treasure, Breeden’s Quality Meats has been selected by the Marlboro Chamber of Commerce as its Business of the Month for May.
Around for 100 years this year, Mr. and Mrs. Cam and Cindy Stone prove that going the extra mile to provide customers with welcoming, friendly service and quality products should be the secret one-two punch of any businesses secret sauce—regardless of its age.
Recognizing the Stone family’s commitment to the community of Marlboro County, the Marlboro County Chamber said in a statement, “Mr. Cam and Mrs. Cindy Stone truly embody what it means to love local. Their involvement in the community and genuine hospitality make everyone feel like family, they never meet a stranger! Breeden’s has long been a cornerstone of our community, and it’s a true family affair.”
According to the Chamber, Breeden’s Quality Meats has continued to serve residents since 1926.
Nearly a lost art, Breeden’s offers homemade sausage, cut-to-order steaks, and a wide variety of regional favorites. A celebration for the business’ 100-year milestone is slated for some time in October; the date is yet to be announced. If you haven’t stopped by yet, make sure you do, you won’t be disappointed!
