BENNETTSVILLE — A local man, Michael Anthony Simmons, has been missing from the community since March 14.
The 57-year-old’s last known whereabouts were in the Bennettsville area. He is described as an African American male who is 6”1, weighs 180 lbs., and was last seen wearing an orange shirt and black pants.
Simmons, who goes by the nickname “Tarantula” suffers from mental health issues, including PTSD resulting from his previous military service.
Family and friends report they have had no contact with Simmons since March 14.
Bennettsville Police Chief Sammy Crosland advises anyone who sees Simmons to please use caution and contact law enforcement immediately.
Crosland also asks anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Simmons to please contact the BPD at 843-479-3620.
