CHERAW – NETC student Donna Jean Haines has been named to the 2023 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) All-State Academic Team for her outstanding academic achievements.
Haines, who is majoring in aas in healthcare, was recognized during a special ceremony held on April 18 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
The PTK All-State Academic Team recognizes the top community college students in each state who excel academically and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. The honor is highly prestigious and serves as a testament to the hard work and dedication of the recipients.
Haines, a resident of Bennettsville, SC, has been a standout student at NETC. Her academic record and leadership skills made her an excellent candidate for the PTK All-State Academic Team.
She is a member of the NETC chapter of PTK, an international honor society for two-year colleges. She has been actively involved in community service projects with Marlboro County 4H and the Marlboro County Advisory Council.
“I am honored to be named to the PTK All-State Academic Team,” said Haines. “This recognition means a lot to me, and it’s a testament to the support and encouragement I have received from my family, friends, and professors at NETC.”
Haines plans to continue her education and pursue a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science. She hopes to use her education and skills to positively impact her community.
