BLENHEIM – Wright-Blenheim Alumni members celebrated their eighth school reunion on Saturday, November 26 at the Wade H. Prince Recreation Center.
This reunion was dedicated in memory of one of their former teachers, Mrs. Hattie Lucas Foster.
The guest speaker was a former student, Keisha Campbell, who is the interim athletic director at South Carolina State University.
Campbell is the daughter of Mrs. Willie Mae Lucas McRae. She was an honor graduate of Blenheim High School. Upon graduation, she entered South Carolina State University and received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.
Campbell’s speech focused on the importance of getting a quality education.
Following her speech, the alumni presented Campbell with an achievement award for her successful career, and flowers were presented from the Marlboro County Chapter of South Carolina State University Alumni.
The banquet included a delicious meal by Family Affair Catering. Entertainment was provided by JaHeem Canady, Jordan Weaver, and A’Joi’a McCrae. The banquet was enjoyed and well attended by Alumni and friends.
Closing remarks were made by the chairperson, Claudette Hooker who thanked everyone for their hard work and participation.
