BENNETTSVILLE — The City of Bennettsville recently announced City Administrator William C. Simon Jr. graduated from the SC Executive Institute, a prestigious statewide leadership program that prepares senior public officials to lead with vision, innovation and collaboration.

SCEI brings together leaders from state and local government to strengthen executive leadership skills, strategic thinking, and innovative approaches to public service. Participants engage in rigorous coursework and collaborative discussions focused on governance, leadership development, and solving complex challenges facing communities across the state.

Simon’s graduation from the program reflects his continued commitment to professional growth and to advancing effective leadership for the residents of Bennettsville.

The graduating class also received strong encouragement and support from SC Gov. Henry McMaster, who shared a message with participants emphasizing the importance of leadership in service to others. McMaster encouraged members of the class to continue helping others through their work and to “make bold moves today” that will positively shape the future of South Carolina’s communities.

“Participating in the South Carolina Executive Institute was an incredible opportunity to learn alongside talented leaders from across our state,” said Simon. “The Governor’s message about helping others and making bold moves today truly resonated with me. It reinforces the responsibility we have as public servants to think creatively, lead with courage, and continue moving our communities forward.”
