BENNETTSVILLE — The Bennettsville Detachment of the Marine Corps League was at Cheraw High School on April 24 for the 25th Annual Awards Presentation Ceremony of the school’s Marine Corps JROTC program.

During the ceremonies, MCJROTC cadets were recognized for their outstanding leadership as JROTC cadets.

Retired Marine Gunnery Sergeant Lixander Henry was recognized for his 26 years of service as the Senior Military Instructor of the Cheraw High School MCJROTC program.

Gunny Henry officially retires from the program on June 30.
