MARLBORO COUNTY — A building caught fire just before 1 a.m. Sunday morning on North Main Street, according to Marlboro County Fire and Rescue Services Coordinator Keith Hughes.
Hughes said it happened in the McColl community of Marlboro County.
The building that caught fire and burned was abandoned, and the surrounding properties weren’t damaged, according to Hughes.
A cause of the blaze hasn’t been released.
Hughes also said McColl, Clio and Bennettsville Fire Departments worked to get the fire contained and under control.
