BENNETTSVILLE — The streets of downtown Bennettsville came alive as the community gathered to celebrate the Marlboro County High School Class of 2025 with a spirited graduation parade, followed by a bustling Spring Market Day.

Honoring the Class of 2025, the day kicked off at 9 a.m. with the annual Parade of Graduates, a proud tradition that allows seniors to ride through the heart of the city, cheered on by family, friends and supportive residents.

Cars decorated with school colors, graduation caps and personalized messages rolled down Main Street, reflecting the hard work and achievements of this year’s graduates. It was a moment of pride and reflection for the students, many of whom will soon embark on new adventures, whether in college, the military, or the workforce.

As the parade wound down, the community’s attention turned to the vibrant Spring Market Day, which ran from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. along Main Street. Local vendors showcased a wide array of handcrafted goods, delicious food and unique products.

Visitors browsed booths offering everything from homemade candles and sweet treats to fresh produce and handcrafted art.

Participating vendors included local favorites like Boss Girl Treats, Bristow Honey Farms, and IcyBoy Lemonade. Live entertainment added to the festive atmosphere, with performances by DJ Jazzy Joe, PKSA Karate and MC Steppaz.

Families enjoyed free games and rides, including Loony Loops Caboose rides, mini golf and face painting, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Both the parade and the market day served as a powerful reminder of the strong community spirit in Marlboro County.

Residents came together to honor the graduates while supporting local businesses, making it a day to remember for all who attended.
