MARLBORO COUNTY — Marlboro County has produced its share of standout athletes, but every so often, a young competitor rises in a way that shifts the entire conversation.

Khamari Eaddy, a powerhouse thrower for Marlboro County High School, has done exactly that — cementing his name in school history as the 2026 3A Boys Shot Put State Champion. This wasn’t a surprise to those who have watched his growth. It was the culmination of discipline, strength, and a relentless drive to perfect his craft.

Khamari’s path to the top of the podium didn’t happen overnight. Over the past few seasons, he has steadily climbed the ranks, refining his technique, increasing his power, and studying the sport with the seriousness of a collegiate athlete. Winning the 3A State Championship is more than a medal — it’s a statement. It confirms that Khamari is one of the premier throwers in South Carolina and a name to watch on the national stage.

Greatness attracts opportunity, and Khamari’s next chapter is already set in motion.

He has officially committed to Fayetteville State University, joining the Broncos men’s track & field program — a respected HBCU known for developing strong, disciplined athletes. At FSU, he will compete as a men’s shot put thrower, bringing his championship pedigree to a program that values toughness, leadership, and academic excellence. The Broncos aren’t just getting an athlete — they’re getting a worker, a competitor, and a young man hungry to elevate his game even further.

Khamari Eaddy’s rise is a testament to dedication, coaching, and community support. As he prepares to take his talents to Fayetteville State, he carries with him the pride of Marlboro County and the momentum of a champion.

The circle is his stage … The work is his foundation … And the future is wide open.
