MARLBORO COUNTY — Marine Veteran Larry Pouncy of Bennettsville is active in the Bennettsville Marine Corps League detachment and the American Legion District 18.

As the Sergeant-at-Arms for his Marine Corps League Bennettsville detachment, he is instrumental to its annual Toys for Tots program. He holds the position of District 18 Commander within the American Legion, overseeing posts throughout the Pee Dee Region.

Recently, he was at the Dillon American Legion Post 32 to attend its annual dinner for Boys State Delegates, along with American Legion Department of South Carolina Commander Jim Rabon. Commander Rabon acknowledged Commander Pouncy for the work he has done and continues to do for the American Legion and the Veterans in his district.
