BLENHEIM—Tea Time with Teens is preparing to kick off the Tea Time Club with middle school girls at Blenheim Middle School of Discovery 12:30 p.m., on Wednesday, 25 September 2024. Tea Time with Teens began sponsoring a Tea Time with Teens Club in the school year 2023-2024 for pre-teens at Blenheim Middle School of Discovery with twenty (20) girls in 6th-8th grades. Twelve ladies from the community volunteered as positive role models and enjoyed sipping tea, eating tasty tea treats, and engaging in fun and meaningful conversations and activities with the girls. The purpose of the club is to support the girls in developing and maintaining positive self-esteem and a hopeful outlook on life.
The Club support participants to:
· Respect themselves and each other
· Always do their best
· Set goals, live into their dreams, and look forward to a bright future
· Develop confidence and stand against and not become negatively impacted by bullying or other challenges
· Note- Additional plans for this school year are to additionally expose the girls by going on culturally, socially, and educationally beneficial fieldtrips and explore career opportunities.
