BENNETTSVILLE— The Pee Dee Coalition closed out April with a powerful program Saturday.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the group hosted Tea and Testimonies at the Skye. Nefateri P. Smalls, a Hartsville native who is a Certified Trauma Recovery Coach, and Certified Mental Health Coach, was the speaker for the event. Smalls, who is a survivor of sexual assault, shared her story and her healing journey.
