Marlboro County hosts Young Professionals’ Symposium and Oyster Roast

BENNETTSVILLE—Marlboro County hosted a panel discussion about the needs of young professionals in the area Friday night at the Marlboro County Golf and Recreation Complex. The panel, Tonny McNeil, Marlboro County Director of Economic Development, Damien Johnson, Marlboro County Council member, Ken Stroman, Marlboro County Council member, and Brittany Jones, Director of Business Development for the City of Bennettsville, discussed topics ranging from housing, retail and commercial upgrades, crime and public safety and child care.

State Representative Patricia Moore Henegan welcomed the attendees to the event. Following the discussion, attendees were treated to roasted oysters.
