BENNETTSVILLE — The beloved story of Frank Capra’s “It’s A Wonderful Life” came to life inside the Murchison School Auditorium Saturday night. An annual showing, the movie event was sponsored by the Marlboro County Museum and the Marian Wright Endelman Public Library in collaboration with the Marlboro Historical and Cultural Alliance.
Those lucky enough to arrive early were treated to pre-film festivities planned by the Marlboro Historical and Cultural Alliance, such as a Bedford Falls decorated photo backdrop to memorialize family and community memories shared together during another holiday season showing of a national big screen favorite.
Refreshments were available in the form of a popcorn bar creatively named Potter’s Popcorn Mix that offered several topping options. Bailey’s Hot Coco was also on hand with toppings as well. Rounding out the night, ZuZu’s cookies answered any movie-goers’ sweet tooth needs.
The Herald-Advocate looks forward to another festive showing of this beloved movie next year at Murchison!
