The Bulldogs Elite 12u team is the South Carolina AAU champions and won the AAU nationals in Orlando, FL.

The Bulldogs Elite teams celebrated Monday.

The 12u team returns to the county as South Carolina AAU champions and National AAU champions in Orlando, Fla, while there on Dec. 6-11.

The 10u team is also South Carolina AAU champion and placed third in the nationals.

Coach Mike Littles was proud of the Bulldogs Elite as a whole.

“The 8u came up a little short, but 10u are very promising,” he said. “The 12u futures are bright. These guys are about to head into high school.”

The 12u players are seventh and eighth graders.

Littles said some would be in middle school next season while others will head to high school.

The Bulldogs Elite is part of the feeder program to the high school football program.

“I think it is going to improve the school system,” Littles said. “The kids are learning early. We run some of the same plays that the high school runs. It will be easy for them to catch on when they get to high school.”

Littles thanked his athletes and reminded them that education is the most important thing.

“They did a great job on and off the field in the classroom,” he said.
