CHERAW – Northeastern Technical College Trailblazer and student-athlete Colin Stone was recently recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) for his commitment to classroom success and academic achievement during the 2021-22 academic year.
Stone is on the Trailblazer Golf team and currently entering his second year at Northeastern with the goal of earning his Associate Degree in Business.
He is a 2021 graduate of Florence Christian school. The NJCAA released its 2021-22 All-Academic teams in early July to honor 9,912 male and female student-athletes from across the nation for achieving academic honors.
Stone was named to the NJCAA Third Team for earning a GPA above 3.60. A total of 2,852 student-athletes garnered NJCAA All-Academic First Team honors, and 3,322 student-athletes were named to the organization’s Second Team.

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) is the governing association of community college athletics throughout the United States.
Currently, NETC competes in Golf, Cross Country, and Esports.
As a member of the NJCAA, NETC will be a part of region 10, and competing against two-year colleges in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
