MARLBORO COUNTY — On Saturday, August 9, 2025, McAlpine Stadium was the epicenter of high school football excitement as the Dennis Miller Football Jamboree brought together programs from South and North Carolina for a night of hard-hitting scrimmages, community pride, and preseason momentum.

Hosted by Marlboro County High School, the event featured three matchups that gave coaches a final look at their rosters before the regular season kicks off.

Official Matchups

1. West Bladen vs. Atlantic Collegiate – 6 p.m.

2. West Columbus vs. Wilson High (Florence, SC) – 7 p.m.

3. Marlboro County High School vs. Northeast Guilford – 8 p.m.

Each game followed a scrimmage format, allowing teams to rotate players, test schemes, and build chemistry under the lights while family and fans cheered for their teams.

In the final matchup, Marlboro County High School faced off against Northeast Guilford. While official stats weren’t released, the Bulldogs showed flashes of speed, defensive discipline, and offensive creativity taking the victory with a 33 – 13 final score, setting the tone for a competitive season ahead.

With the jamboree wrapped, Marlboro County High School turns its attention to the regular season opener against Cheraw High School on August 25, 2025. The Bulldogs are poised to make noise in the region, backed by talent, preparation, and a community that believes in them.
