BENNETTSVILLE — Marlboro County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against Georgetown, falling 13-5. Unfortunately, that’s the second time they’ve come up short against Georgetown this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 back in March.
Addison Skipper was cooking despite her team’s loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Sweatt, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Marlboro County’s defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Georgetown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.
