MARLBORO COUNTY — Congratulations to Ke’Asia Brown for placing third in the Lower State Tournament! Brown is the only female to qualify for the Individual State Tournament.
The entire boys wrestling team placed during qualification matches.
Boys: John Green, Jamison Bethea, Micheal Hellan, Tristan Brown, Bobby Mumford, James Bunton, Khajarie Covington, Azari Morgan, Ty’jai King, Dorrian Carthon, Salim Yunisah, Aaron Chavis.
Individual State Tournament
It was a tough battle for the MCHS Wrestling team as they faced off with the entire upper and lower state qualifiers. None were able to place within the top three. However, we have quite a few who placed within top six. The majority of them will be returning as sophomores and seniors and will get another shot.
