Police are investigating homicide

As of Monday morning, Bennettsville Police were still investigating a Sunday night shooting.
Lt. Larry Turner of the BPD said police were called around 11 p.m. Sunday night to 224 Windham St. in Bennettsville.
Once there, they discovered a female shot to death at the residence.
"We are treating it as a homicide," Turner said.
As of 8:45 a.m. Monday, police were still on the scene along with SLED, who was assisting with processing.
Turner urged anyone with information to call the Bennettsville Police at 843-479-3620.
