After watching the almost hour long City of Bennettsville Christmas Parade, Katrina T. Stephens was very pleased.

“This is one of the best I have seen or been to in a longtime,” she said.

The annual parade featured dancers, cheerleaders, an escape by the Grinch from the Bennettsville Police Department, and Santa Claus on a fire truck.

A native of Bennettsville, Stephens said she really enjoyed the parade.

“This was one of the best,” she said. “Everybody needed this.”

People were lined up and down Main, Marlboro and Broad Streets watching the parade.

Crystal Morris drove from Chesterfield to watch the parade for the first time.

“The parade will get people in the spirit for the season,” she said. “We have so much hate in the world. This is nice.”
