The Marlboro County Board of Trustees have announced its two finalists for its Superintendent – Dr. Ronnie Tarchichi and Dr. Martin Wright.

In the coming weeks, board members will schedule a meet and greet with the public and the two finalists.

This will be in addition to final interviews with the board.

District officials said in a press release that the board members anticipate making a final decision in the best interests of the district.

Tarchichi

Currently, Tarchichi serves as the superintendent of Pennsauken Public Schools in Pennsauken, N.J.

Tarchichi previously served as superintendent and principal for Woodlynne School District in New Jersey for four years, as well as assistant principal and a biology teacher over the course of his career in education.

He graduated from West Virginia University with a B.C. in exercise physiology.

Tarchichi continued his education and received a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from The College of New Jersey and a master of arts in special education and learning disabilities from Rowan University. Tarchichi graduated from Rowan University with a doctor of education in educational leadership and from Temple University with a doctor of philosophy in education with a concentration in special education.

Wright

Wright is an educational leader with more than twenty-five years of experience in the field of public education.

Wright is currently a principal with the Liberty County School System in Georgia.

He previously served as superintendent of Hampton County School District 2 for seven years, as well as deputy superintendent for Clarendon County School District 4.

He is a proud graduate of Claflin University, where he received a B.S. in elementary education.

Wright recently graduated from Columbia International University with a doctor of philosophy in organizational leadership.

Presently in his transformational leadership role as principal with the Liberty County School Systems, Wright is dedicated to high academic achievement and growth in a rigorous, personalized learning environment that prepares each student to be college, career, and citizen ready while maintaining a focus on the development of the school district’s mission and vision for the community.
