BENNETTSVILLE — To celebrate World Heart Day, observed annually on September 29, RV Oasis & Adventures, a veteran-owned campground located at 1061 Fruitfarm Road in Bennettsville, is planning a weekend of fellowship, business networking, cross-promotion, outdoor fun and entertainment to take place September 25 through 27th all for the bargain daily admission price of $5.
What is World Heart Day?
World Heart Day is observed to raise global awareness about cardiovascular disease and promote heart health. Established in 1999 by the World Heart Federation (WHF) in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), World Heart Day was first celebrated on September 24, 2000. The idea behind the observance is to bring awareness to the global impact of cardiovascular disease (CVD).
“My father died from a heart attack at the age of 45. Bringing awareness to this silent killer in a beneficial way for the community is the goal,” Charlotte explains. “I want to give back to the community in a positive way and also encourage and inform others on how to stay healthy and fit. I know as a parent I want to make sure I’m here for a long time.”
Hoping to keep the event informative and fun, Charlotte says the weekend will focus on offering exercise, resource information, and community fellowship while releasing stress and anxiety.
Let’s celebrate!
Dedicated to fostering a sense of community, Jimmy and Charlotte Campbell have designed their campground with fellowship and relaxation in mind. Launching the campground around January 2025, the Campbell’s have already hosted several community driven events, including a Back-to-School Bash last summer.
RV Oasis & Adventures’ upcoming World Heart Day weekend will be equally community driven with plans to bring together campers, vendors, businesses, artisans, makers, nonprofits, food trucks, and local supporters. Additional festivities planned include line dancing, karaoke, camping, mud race, friendly tug-of-war competition, stack races, yoga, networking opportunities, games and contests, art classes with local artist Courtney Medlin of Creation Station and Medlin Customs, great food, live DJ and music, movie nights, and other fun surprises still to be announced.
“We are still putting our itinerary of activities together for the weekend. Everyone is welcome; we want to see people and businesses from Columbia to everywhere inbetween. I am so excited about sharing this event with our community,” Charlotte says.
Free vendor opportunities
For this special event only, the Campbell’s are offering free vendor spaces. Yes, you read that right, and spots are still open. Explaining why offering free spots was particularly important to her, Charlotte points out with the cost of gas and the current state of the economy, businesses should be able to work together to be sucessful.
“Interested vendors must contact RV Oasis directly to receive a vendor application and approval,” Charlotte Campbell said, adding, “Vendors are also encouraged to promote the event, share the RV Oasis business pages, and let their audiences know they will be attending September 25–27, 2026.”

Additional campground amenities
Veteran owned RV Oasis & Adventures is still in the process of growing, however, the campground currently offers full RV hookups with electric, water, and sewer, heated bathhouse with showers, Wi-Fi with extenders, dump station, onsite RV and tent rentals, fire rings for campfires, long-term, seasonal, and transient stays are also welcome. The Campbell’s say an outdoor entertainment area is coming soon.
A true stay-cation destination tucked away, the campground is just minutes from an ATV side-by-side park, a lake for fishing, kayaking, and paddle-boarding, nearby golfing opportunities, shopping, and is also not far from the NASCAR Motor Speedway.
