MCCOLL — On April 25, 2026 Las Amigas Incorporated participated in the Community Outreach Day hosted by the Greater Fair Plains AME Zion Church. The event was held at JC Park in McColl, South Carolina from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., and was sponsored by the Pee Dee Annual Conference of AME Zion Churches. Those in attendance were provided spiritual, social, and economic outreach. Participants also enjoyed free food, giveaways, games, and health screening. The event featured spiritual sermonettes and prayers for those in need.
Las Amigas shared information on voter registration, and encouraged all participants to vote in the upcoming elections. They would like to thank the Bennettsville-Cheraw District of AME Zion Churches (WHOMS) Voter Registration for helping to organize the activity and providing the necessary materials for the display.
“Get out the Vote” is one of Las Amigas projects for their 2026 calendar year. Members will continue with this effort by making phone calls, setting up voter registration booths, encouraging citizens to register…, and to “Get Up and Go VOTE”!
