BENNETTSVILLE — At their February 23 meeting, the Bennettsville Marine Corps League Detachment heard from its District Commandant Bill Moore about the importance of growing their detachment by recruiting area Marines to join their ranks.

Those who wear or have worn the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor are eligible to become members of the Marine Corps League. Detachment Commandant Lex Henry wants local Marines to know that the Marine Corps League works to strengthen the fraternity of Marines, and promotes Americanism and patriotic community volunteerism, i.e., Toys for Tots.
