BENNETTSVILLE — Raymond Sides with the MPD Electric Cooperative stopped by the Bennettsville Public Safety Complex Tuesday night to present some exciting news to the city council during their first board meeting of the new year.
“We would like to present the city of Bennettsville with a $50,000 check. This is our utility tax credit check that we get from, where we buy our power from as we in turn pass it off to our service area for qualified projects, so we would like to give the city of Bennettsville $50,000,” announced Sides.
“We thank you for your partnership,” said Bennettsville City Administrator William Simon as he accepted the check on behalf of the city.
