MCCOLL — On Saturday, June 14, 2025, a special event will bring the McColl community together in support of a powerful cause — fighting childhood cancer one cup at a time.
In honor of Keylen Oxendine, “Keylen’s Lemonade Stand” will be held at 100 West Tatum Avenue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is part of the national fundraising campaign organized by Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to funding pediatric cancer research and supporting families facing childhood cancer.
Organized locally by Reba Oxendine, this event holds a deeply personal meaning. “Fighting cancer one cup at a time … because every child deserves a chance at life!” said Oxendine, who is rallying friends, family, and neighbors to join in the effort.
Visitors can stop by to enjoy a refreshing cup of lemonade, make a donation, or simply show their support for the cause. All proceeds go directly to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, helping fund better treatments and much-needed research to cure childhood cancer.
Donations can also be made online at https://alsf.me/4258563, or through Venmo using the event ID 4258563.
Whether you stop by for a glass or spread the word, every small act of kindness moves this cause one step closer to a cure.
