CLIO — Dale and Susan Woods introduced “The Rebuild Clio Economic Development Foundation” for the first time. Many came and listened as they explained the benefits of having a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, generating tax-free money to “rebuild” the town of Clio.
Community leaders like Mayor Adam Pate were in attendance and started the meeting with a very inspirational word of encouragement.
“The rebuild was designed to pour back into the community of Clio, provide financial assistance, revitalize abandoned buildings while also creating more platforms and resources,” he said.
According to the foundation’s social media page, in addition to revializing aabandoned properties, the foundation aims to establish a community center, develop outdoor recreational facilities, support local businesses, organize farmers markets, promote tourism, enhance internet connectivity, support community events, establish youth programs, establish programs for senior citizens and offer scholarships for high school seniors.
