Catfish Rodeo ropes in community

MARLBORO COUNTY — It was fishing at its finest as the youth of Marlboro County took flight, reeling in every fish that took the bait. Catfish, that is, nothing but catfish.

Bucket after bucket can be seen loaded with fish and watching everyone enjoy the cool breeze as the pond continues to give was nothing short of spectacular.

Marlboro County Fishing Rodeo is set every year around the same time and same place — but with bigger rewards. The biggest reward however, was seeing the community come out, families bonding, dads and some moms of course, teaching the little ones how to bait a hook, cast their lure and snag a catfish!
