MARLBORO COUNTY — On Friday, March 15, Marlboro County Government proudly hosted the second annual Marlboro County Economic Development Summit, a distinguished black-tie event that brought together community leaders, businesses and residents in a collective celebration of the area’s ongoing progress and shared success.
The evening was marked by the presence of Marlboro County’s administration, representatives from each of the towns and municipalities, as well as key state officials, who addressed the audience with inspiring remarks. Among them was Congressman Russel Fry, who spoke to the significance of Marlboro County’s growth and bright future.
The event began with a powerful presentation of the colors by the Marlboro County High School JROTC students. Guests were then treated to a delightful dinner catered by Marlboro County High School Culinary Arts students, showcasing the talent and dedication of the local students. The evening’s entertainment included a stirring performance of the national anthem by the incredibly talented Avante Covington and a captivating live jazz performance by the Level 10 Band, adding a special touch to thealready memorable event.
