The public got a first-hand look at the newly renovated and expanded operating room facility at Scotland Memorial Hospital. Surgical Services Department staff conducted tours of the new facility that includes six new ORs with state-of-the-art equipment during an open house held on Tuesday. The new facility is part of $65 million renovation project at the hospital and represents Phase I. Phase 2 will include the renovating and repurposing of the current OR. The hospital will begin use of the new OR facility on Oct. 21.
