MARLBORO COUNTY — The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office is taking a closer look into the disappearance of 41-year-old Ronald James Allard Knowles in September or October of 2020, according to MCSO Chief Deputy Larry Turner.
Officials said the “last reported sightings of Knowles were in the Ebenezer Road area of Wallace and the area of Midway Road in Cheraw.”
Knowles had reported ties in the Wallace, Cheraw, Rockingham and Myrtle Beach areas and was known to do freelance tattooing, officials said.
At one time, a reward was offered for information leading to the whereabouts of Knowles.
Turner said the case has always been open, but they’ve recently reassigned it to another investigator.
He added that the prior administration had done a good bit of work on the case and they plan to follow up and go back through the case file.
Turner said they want to find out what happened to Knowles and will use all available resources to do so.
