Driver dies after single-vehicle accident on Red Hill Road

A Bennettsville woman died after her vehicle ran off the road and overturned around 5:15 p.m. Sunday (May 10), according to Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell with S.C. Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred on Red Hill Road near McColl Avenue, which is four miles east of Bennettsville.
Tidwell said it involved Courtney Wallace, 26, who was driving a 2001 Honda Pilot.
Wallace was traveling west on Red Hill Road when the vehicle traveled off the road to the right, struck a ditch and overturned.
Tidwell said Wallace as ejected.
"After the collision, the driver was transported to Cheraw ER  by EMS, where they later succumbed to their injuries," he said.
Wallace was the only person in the vehicle and was not wearing a seatbelt.
