Bennettsville City Council agreed to "conditionally reinstate" the business license for Legends Sports Bar at a special called meeting last week.

Cheraw Highway named for the late Jimmy McLeod, Sr.
The late James S. "Jimmy" McLeod, Sr. was remembered Friday morning, as a highway was named in his memory.  
A ceremony was held on the steps of Shiloh Baptist Church in Bennettsville, officially naming the Cheraw Highway from West Main Street to the Chesterfield County line as the "James S. 'Jimmy' McLeod, Sr. Memorial Highway".
