Veterans Day celebration
The Marlboro County Council on Aging celebrated Veterans Day on Tuesday, November 11, with a special musical performance. Three local veterans who participate in the Council's activities were honored: Stan Lintner, 10 years in the Air Force; Johnnie Thomas, four years in the Marines; and Richard Rivers, an employee of the Council, two years in the Army. Two candidates for Marlboro County Board of Education chairman appear to be headed for a runoff, according to unofficial results from Tuesday's general election.
