WALLACE – Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a Wallace man after a shooting on Thursday night.

According to Investigator Clay Anderson, deputies responded to a residence on Pegues Circle in the Wallace area about a shooting incident before midnight on Thursday.

Deputies and Investigators met and spoke with a victim at McLeod Hospital in Cheraw, who was being treated for a gunshot wound. Anderson said investigators learned that some type of verbal altercation at the residence on Pegues Circle led to a physical altercation in which Nyshawn Jermaine Miles, 19 of Wallace, retrieved a firearm and shot at multiple persons at the residence.

Investigators learned that Miles’ minor children were also present in the home during the time of the shooting.

Anderson said Miles is wanted by the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office for attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and unlawful conduct towards a child.

This case is still under investigation by the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office.
