Due to a tornado watch that is in effect through game time, the Bulldogs' annual grudge-match with Scotland County won't happen this year. The game had been moved to Thursday, in hopes of missing the bad weather. However, a thunderstorm hit Bennettsville very near the 7 p.m. scheduled kickoff. The coaches then rescheduled the contest back to the initial start time of 7:30 Friday night.
With storms again in the forecast and now the tornado watch, MCHS athletic director and head football coach Dean Boyd cancelled the game shortly after 2 p.m. today.
