Bulldogs host NMB with region title on the line
Tuesday night, the Marlboro County High varsity boys will host North Myrtle Beach with a lot at stake. The Bulldogs need a victory over NMB to seal their first region title since the 2015-16 season.
The Bulldogs blasted Wilson 57-25 Friday to guarantee a share of the title, but they will need a victory Tuesday, or a Myrtle Beach loss to Hartsville to lock up the championship.
"If we end up in a tie with Myrtle Beach, they would get the top seed in the playoffs because they would win the tie-breaker," confirmed head coach LaTroy Brace Monday morning.
The Bulldogs and Chiefs will tip-off immediately following the girls' contest, which starts at 6 p.m.

Bulldogs roll by Hartsville, remain unbeaten in region
After a sluggish first quarter, the Marlboro County High boys' basketball team rallied past Hartsville, 65-49 Tuesday night. With the home victory, the Bulldogs remain undefeated in region play and maintain a two-game lead with just four games remaining in the regular season.
"Hartsville is a tough, scrappy team and we withstood and answered their defensive effort. It just shows the maturity of the team and how they have each other’s back on the court," said MCHS head coach LaTroy Brace.
