— Marlborough Public Library wants to make a move to new headquarters in the old post office building on Broad Street and a meeting will be held Tuesday for those who want to see this move take place.

— Bill Kinney Jr., editor of the Marlboro Herald-Advocate, was elected president of the South Carolina Press Association Saturday.

— A $1000 reward is being offered by the Marlboro County Board of Education for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for recent bomb threats at several Marlboro County schools.

— A learning lab to promote adult education is now being operated at the old Marlboro Elementary School on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings between the hours of 10 a.m. and 12 noon.

— One of Marlboro County’s most prominent men died here Tuesday. William C. Goldberg, 55, lawyer, political and industrial leader and former legislator, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Marlboro General Hospital.
