Meteorologist Kevin Jacobs will speak at NAACP banquet

Marlboro County Branch NAACP will sponsor its 40th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet Saturday, October 27, at 6:00 p.m.  The event will be held at the Bennettsville Community Center, 714 North Marlboro Street, Bennettsville. This year’s theme is “Vote! Our Lives Depend On It.”
Meteorologist Kevin Jacobs will be the guest speaker. There will be a variety of entertainment and dinner will be served.  The public is encouraged to attend and support this young man who is a native of Marlboro County. About Kevin Jacobs
Meteorologist Kevin Jacobs can be seen weekends on Good Morning Carolinas and on ABC 15 evening shows Wednesday through Friday.
Kevin is a Marlboro County native and a graduate of Marlboro County High School. He graduated from the University of South Carolina and Mississippi State University on-campus meteorology program with degrees from both schools. Kevin returns home with a wealth of knowledge from covering severe weather and tracking storms in north Alabama to forecasting winter weather in the mountains of southern West Virginia. Now he's widening his expertise while covering hurricanes here on the east coast.
He realizes the weather is not a problem until it impacts your plans. He is passionate about keeping people informed on the weather.
Kevin lives an active lifestyle with health and fitness to the forefront. He's thankful for this opportunity to be near family, friends and serving the people of this area.
