Farewell Angelina will come to the Marlboro Civic Center on Sept. 20
Named after a haunting Bob Dylan song, the all-female country group Farewell Angelina will take the stage Sept. 20 at the Marlboro Civic Center.
Showtime for the concert is at 7:30 p.m. with tickets for $20.
To purchase tickets, come to the Civic Center at 106 Clyde St. or call 843-454-9496.
In a recent phone interview with the Herald-Advocate, band members Nicole Witt and Ashley Gearing were excited to come to the area.
Witt felt anyone who is a music lover will be welcomed with arms wide open.
"We love to share music and share feelings and just have a good time. This world needs more fun musical experiences to help drown out some of the negativity in the world," Witt said.
It is a high energy show with lots of harmonies, she added.
"We are country but have a lot of influences in many genres," Gearing said. "We bring a pretty neat stage show, stories, fun, and laughter."
Farewell Angelina has a new album coming out in the future.
When writing, their inspiration is different each time.
"The album has something for everyone but will take them on a musical journey for sure," Witt said.
Being longtime friends has played an integral role with the band.
Gearing said she has known Witt since she was 16 years old.
"It is cool that we have all seen each other grow, change and have different life experiences," Gearing said. "We have been through the grind of the music world in Nashville. It can be very difficult and challenging."
Their fans, Farewell Family, are near and dear to the group.
Witt said, "We have a lot of people who are huge supporters who are like family. We would love to grow the family."
