McCOLL – Currently, only 37% of the county is fully vaccinated and the Pro Vaccine Team Ambassadors want to increase this number.

A vaccination event will be held at McColl Elementary Middle School from noon-3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19.

CVS will be the vaccine provider with first, second, and booster shots administered (eligible names will be entered into a drawing).

Flu vaccinations will be available. Pearlie Lawson and fellow Pro Vaccine Team Ambassador Nan Fleming are designated partners with the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control and S.C. State Department of Education to encourage everyone to join the fight to help get shots in the arms of Marlboro County residents to help keep the community and schools safe and to increase the vaccination rate.

People are encouraged to bring their insurance card for all vaccinations and vaccination card for second dose or booster shots.

There will be a drawing for door prizes which will include two Insignia Sound Bars, $50 gift cards, two Sony extra bass and one GoPro Hero 8/SanDisk memory card.

“Help us increase our vaccination rate by participating or encouraging others to do so,” Lawson said.
