CLIO – A victim was airlifted to the hospital after a shooting, and Clio man was charged with attempted murder.
Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to 3117 Henry Lane at 12:23 a.m. in the Clio community of Marlboro County about an individual shot.
According to Investigator Clay Anderson, a male victim was found with apparent injuries from a gunshot wound that required him to be flown by helicopter to an area emergency facility.
During this investigation, it was determined an altercation between the subject, James A. Doster, and his girlfriend took place earlier that evening.
Anderson said in the process of the girlfriend returning to the residence with a family member to retrieve property from the residence, an altercation between Doster and a family member ensued with the family member was shot.
Doster, 35 of Clio, has been charged with attempted murder, domestic violence second degree, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Doster was transported to the Marlboro County Detention Center, awaiting a bond hearing.
