WALLACE – The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two deaths in the Wallace area.
According to officials, the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a residence on Step Road in the Wallace area around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The 911 caller stated that he had shot and killed a person and that he was going to take his own life after getting off the phone with 911 dispatch.
The Uniformed Patrol Division, along with the Criminal Investigation Division, responded to the residence. Upon arrival, officials discovered an adult age male and female, both deceased, inside the home.
SLED’s crime scene team was called and asked to assist in processing the crime scene.
At this time, not all family members of the decedents have been notified so their names will not yet be released. This case is currently under investigation by the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office.
