CLIO — For about ten years the town of Clio has been delighting kids with their annual Trunk-or-Treat community celebration and 2025’s Halloween was no different, with vehicle trunks of terror lining Bennett Park until 7 p.m. Friday.

“We do this to give back to our community,” says Tim McCoy, an organizer of the event. “We really love getting to do this every year and seeing the smiles on kid’s faces.”

McCoy, who is with Parks and Recreation, helps facilitate the event every year so youth in the community are guaranteed safe fun on the holiday. Candy was collected throughout the month via donations made to City Hall.

“If we don’t step up and do it for them, who will,” asks McCoy.

Following the trunk-or-treat, the Clio community presented a movie in the park, with all the little ghouls in attendance encouraged to dress in costume.
