MARLBORO COUNTY — Marlboro County’s own Cindy Ayers was honored with a prestigious award from Main Street South Carolina, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the community all the while, keeping downtown revitalized.
The ceremony, held on August 19, 2025, celebrated Ayers who received the 2025 Master Merchant Award.
This award recognizes excellence in the retail field and is given to a merchant who shows innovation, commitment to downtown revitalization, creativity in merchandising, inventory, and display.
Ayers was recognized for her dedication to downtown Bennettsville and for her qualities as a “master merchant.”
