MCCOLL: Deputies with the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a four-wheeler traveling on McCormick Avenue. Following a brief pursuit, the four-wheeler exited the highway into a wooded area in an attempt to evade deputies. Shortly after, deputies successfully located the vehicle and the two the individuals involved in the incident. Jerica Goins was arrested for interfering, obstruction, and hindering. Devin Sweat was arrested for operating an unsafe vehicle on the highway, failure to stop for blue lights, and simple possession of marijuana. Both individuals were remanded to the Marlboro County Detention Center without further incident.

Investigators processed the scene of a stabbing incident during which a 72-year-old mother sustained stab and cut wounds. Discovered by a family member within her residence, deputies soon zeroed in on her son, Raymond Shaun Prichard as the suspected stabber. Prichard was apprehended at the scene by deputies and charged with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime. Prichard was transported to the Marlboro County Detention Center following his arrest.

Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Charles Edwards McArthur on the following outstanding warrants: Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature X2, Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime and Discharging a Firearm into a Dwelling. McArthur was extradited from Georgia by Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office Deputies to the Marlboro County Detention Center.

Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office deputies apprehended Danny Wyland on outstanding bench warrants for Accessory After the Fact of a Felony, Conspiracy, and Malicious Damage to Property. Wyland was extradited back from North Carolina by investigators with the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office to the Marlboro County Detention Center.

The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office charged and apprehended Nadaya McRae for Attempted Murder, Domestic Violence of a High and Aggravated Nature, and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.

Charges against McRae stem from an incident that took place on August 16, 2025, in the Blenheim area of Marlboro County. McRae and the victim were involved in a dispute; when McRae brandished a firearm and discharged it. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the neck area. A through-and-through wound after the round grazed the victim’s neck, another round struck an interior structure. McRae initially fled the scene, before deciding to report the incident to 911. Requiring additional medical care, the victim was airlifted to a nearby medical center and is reported to be in good health following the incident. Proving you can run but you can’t hide, investigators successfully coordinated McRae’s surrender at the sheriff’s office. Booked into the Marlboro County Detention Center, her bond will be determined at a later date.
