Search is on for missing man
Bennettsville police continue to investigate the disappearance of a man who has been missing for almost a week.
Johnny Ray Adams, 64, of 214 South Parsonage Street, Apartment F, was last seen Thursday night, June 15. He had been in McColl that evening but was brought back to his home by a family member and has not been seen or heard from since.
His vehicle, a green 1996 GMC Sierra extended cab pickup, is also missing. Investigators have put out a photo of a truck with the same make and model in hopes that someone may recognize it. Adams’ truck bears SC tag 123409W and has tinted windows, a diamond plate tool box, 2000 model Chevrolet chrome rims, a chrome bull bar on the front, and a round Gregg Allman sticker on the back glass.
Bennettsville Police Chief Kevin Miller said there is no evidence of foul play as of now. Investigators have been working round-the-clock on the search, and the S.C. Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is providing assistance.
Anyone with information about Adams is asked to call the police department at 843-479-3620 or Investigator Tim Hood at 843-439-0843.
